Over 7,000 submissions on the Development Guide Plan were received during the Shire of Busselton’s public comment period from August to November 2007. Approximately 25% were positive which is considered to be an unprecedented amount as in most cases the percentage of positive submissions is much lower because supporters of projects are much less likely to express their opinions than opponents.
